Case Study #5 Novant Health
Type
Medical Imaging Center
Location
Forked River, NJ
Legacy PACS
GE IW
Target PACS
Semperdata Atrium Archive
Volume
147,400 studies
The Challenge:
Decommissioning Siemens PACS as soon as possible to alleviate costs and other resources demanded by the Siemens system.
Outcome:
- Transferred more than 1 TB of data per day
- LAITEK demonstrated flexibility in adjusting to the changing project needs, i.e. close monitoring and throttling of daily throughput avoided straining the archiving process, which required, at times, pauses and daily ‘storage health’ email updates from the Target PACS vendor.
- LAITEK presented Novant Health with useful interfaces, clarity into the migration process, and distinctively rapid migration capabilities, completing migration in one-fifth of the time required for conventional migration.
- Migrated 2.7 Million studies from Siemens PACS to McKesson PACS
